| Upcoming Teen Events: Make Waves At Your Library Redwood Falls Public Library 2010 Summer Reading Program June 7th – August 13th For students who have completed 5th-12th Grades June Events: Water Games Kickoff June 8th 7:00 – 7:45 p.m. Start making waves this summer with a variety of water games in the grassy area behind the Library. Be ready to get wet! Wear appropriate clothing and shoes. Bring your own towel! Survivor June 15th 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Complete island themed challenges to win immunity or run the risk of being voted off “Library Island” until only one final contestant remains and wins! Compete for cash and other prizes. Animation Coalition June 22nd 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Come enjoy free popcorn with others who love anime while watching Howls Moving Castle and School Rumble. Amazing Race IV June 29th 12:30 – 5:00 p.m. Grab a quick bite to eat before getting into teams of 2 and racing across Redwood Falls. Complete the tasks as quickly as possible to be the first team to finish the race. Each person on the winning team takes home a $50 gift certificate! Sign up at the front desk by Monday, June 28th! July Events: FUSE July 6th 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Play Games! Eat Snacks! Change the world . . . starting with your Library. Camp Half Blood Movie Matinee July 13th 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. Watch The Lightning Thief on the Library big screen. Enjoy free pizza and popcorn while playing Percy Jackson & The Olympian themed games. Animation Coalition July 20th 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Enjoy free popcorn and movies with others who love anime. The July selection of anime will be chosen in June. Iron Chef III July 27th 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Whose cuisine will reign supreme? Teams of 2-3 people have a limited time, ingredients, and basic kitchen tools to try to create the best recipe. Winning team wins the cash! Sign up at the front desk by Monday, July 26th. August Events: Stuff Swap August 3rd 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Tired of your old books, CDs, DVDs, and video games? Bring them to the Library and trade them for something “new to you”. Please only bring items in good condition. Start Noticing Pool Party Date and time to be announced. Join the Library and Start Noticing for a party at the pool. Games, food and prized for all! Sign up at the front desk by Thursday, August 12th.
