Redwood Area Library Foundation (RALF)
RALF was created in 1992 to provide financial support for the Library that goes beyond traditional tax base funding. RALF was responsible for raising the funds for the new building. RALF continues to fund capital needs of the Library that are outside the scope of the operating budget by conducting annual fund drives and by using interest earned on investments.
RALF collected over 700 recipes for a library cookbook called "Readers Cook".
An Endowment Fund was established in 1998 to provide a lasting legacy to the Library and local community. The earnings generated by the principal of the Endowment Fund will be used for land acquisition for expansion, building expansion, major capital improvements, major technology needs, and other extraordinary needs. Contributions are tax deductible if they are made payable to RALF. Donations made payable to the Redwood Falls Public Library are not.
February, which is "I Love to Read" month, at the Library, RALF
conducts an annual fundraising campaign soliciting funds for technology
needs, capital needs for the building and capital needs for the
children, teen and adult areas of the Library. Donations are
accepted all year long and may be dropped off at the Library or sent to:
