Family Movie Night Dolphin Tale Tuesday, January 17, 2012 - starting at 6:00 p.m. In an inspirational story of the bond between animals and humans, a boy named Sawyer discovers an injured dolphin, who is brought to a marine hospital and named Winter. Unfortunately, her injuries cost Winter her tail, without which she may not survive. But with Sawyer's devotion, a marine biologist's (Harry Connick, Jr.) expertise and the brilliance of a prosthetist (Morgan Freeman) charged with creating a new tail, Winter may receive a second chance at life. Based on a true story!!! This movie is rated PG Event is FREE and open to all ages. Popcorn and juice provided. Adventure Club Tuesday, January 17, 2012 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Grades K-4 We will be doing some experiments with the water cycle and discussing the importance of water conservation. This program is being offered through a collaboration with the University of Minnesota Extension and the Redwood Are 4-H. "1000" Books Before Kindergarten" program is a reading program open to
children from birth to age five. The goal is to have
parents read to their children from the time they are born until they
begin school and beyond. Participants can register at the Library . Each child will receive a book bag, book mark, pencil and reading log packet to keep track of titles read. Participants receive prizes along the way to their "graduation". Please contact the library for more information. New Children's Materials
